Open Season 3 - Shot #02

Boog is upset because your friend can not go to the annual guys trip, and Boog pretends not to care.

Boog está chateado porque seu amigo não pode ir a viagem anual dos homens, e Boog finge não se importar.



In the previous post I talked a lot about my work process, from now on I will focus more on personal experience with this project, the things that I learned and eventually share some tips. This scene for example I learned something very important: to dose the amount of energy on the character. Take a look at the first blocking that I sent to the director:

No post anterior eu falei muito sobre meu processo de trabalho, daqui em diante vou focar mais na experiência pessoal que tive com esse projeto, as coisas que aprendi e eventualmente compartilhar algumas dicas. Essa cena por exemplo eu aprendi uma coisa muito importante: dosar a energia do personagem. Dê uma olhada no primeiro blocking que eu enviei ao diretor:



The energy on Boog's body movement is excessive compared with the energy in his speech, it was the first thing the director said. Imagine the excitement that I was ... My first feature film in 3D, the job of my dreams... I was crazy to animate. It helped that I exaggerate too much in this scene. After the director's feedback, this is the final result and how the shot fitted in the sequence animated by other animators:

Boog está com energia excessiva no movimento do corpo comparado com a energia em sua fala, isso foi a primeira coisa que o diretor falou. Imaginem a empolgação que eu estava... meu primeiro longa metragem em 3D, o trabalho dos meus sonhos... eu tava doido pra animar. Isso contribuiu para que eu exagerasse demais nessa cena. Depois do feedback do diretor, esse é o resultado final, e como a cena se encaixou na sequência do filme animada por outros animadores:
